Help One Community Hero Help Their Village

Three community heroes - one from Kenya, one from Indonesia, one from Ecuador.

Each one deserves the prize to help their village, but only one will be honored as the winner.

You can help Washington's village win funding for a microenterprise program for local women, Susan's village win upgrades to a local women's healthcare facility, or Ina's village win a safe water sanitation unit. Simply vote for the Community Hero you think most deserving by clicking "vote now" above, following them on Twitter, and "liking" them on Facebook. Voting closes April 10th.

Voting is open until 4/10/2011 at 11:59AM EST. Votes are captured 3 ways: 1) voting at map.org/hero, 2) by following a hero on Twitter, and 3) by becoming a hero's fan on Facebook. Voting is open to anyone, and there is no limit to the number of times a person can vote. The winning Community Hero will be announced on 4/11/2011. You can visit www.map.org/hero to find out who wins.

By providing your email address, you are automatically entered to win one of 15 gifts. At the close of the voting, gift winners will be randomly selected from among all names and email addresses received. Gift winners will be notified by 4/18/2011 via email. Upon confirmation, winners will be mailed a gift (to be selected by MAP based on availability). If a confirmation email is not received by a selected gift winner by 4/28/11, a new name and email will be randomly selected.
