Active in Darfur for over two years, MAP is operating two health clinics in the West Darfur capital of El Geneina. In addition, MAP is working to provide essential medicines and compassion for refugees from Darfur now living in camps in neighboring Chad.
MAP's Darfur relief efforts began in 2004 with an initial shipment of six tons of medical supplies, enough to treat 60,000 people for three months. MAP's work in the area continues with additional shipments of medicine and supplies.
