We Provide Essential Medicines
Each year, MAP provides more than $250 million in vital medical supplies to hundreds of partners operating in underserved regions around the world. Leading companies like Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and Pfizer donate high quality, FDA approved supplies for use in our medicines program. An estimated 35 million people benefit each year from the medicines we deliver.
We work with hundreds of short term medical mission teams and partner agencies to distribute medicines to over 100 countries each year. Organizations such as CARE, World Vision, Partners in Health, International Medical Corps, and Christian Aid Ministries trust MAP to provide medical aid to programs where it is needed most.
Travel Pack
The Travel Pack program is designed to provide medical mission teams with essential medicines for use in a clinical setting. For a nominal handling fee, MAP will provide mission teams with a carry-on size box packed with thousands of dollars worth of essential medicines and supplies. The Travel Pack program offers different options, including a Custom Order option for creating a custom formulary from our extensive list of available medicines. Processing normally takes 4-6 weeks.
GEMS
GEMS (Global Essential Medicines and Supplies) provides low-cost purchased and donated generic medicines and supplies from the WHO Essential Drug List to aid organizations serving in the world's poorest communities. It accesses high-quality medicines and supplies from trusted manufacturers and wholesalers and delivers them to healthcare agencies and programs around the world. GEMS also offers consulting services in supply chain management, rational drug use, and monitoring and evaluation.
LTHD
MAP's Long Term Health Development (LTHD) program provides significant quantities of essential medicines to organizations with a long term medical presence in the field. MAP provides container-sized shipments of medicine to our trusted partners for use in mission clinics and hospitals. In conjunction with partners such as Christian Aid Ministries and World Vision, MAP is also able to provide rapid response to humanitarian emergencies in the U.S. and around the world.
