There are only a few days until the end of 2017 and so many Americans are considering a year-end charity donation. We value the trust you place in MAP with your resources, especially this year with a record-breaking hurricane season, earthquakes and flooding around the world.
If you are considering a year-end donation, you can trust MAP’s commitment to being a highly effective, accountable, and transparent nonprofit organization. To assure our supporters of our commitment to providing full disclosure of our use of financial resources, MAP International submits its records for independent review.
But don't take our word for it.
Recently, several publications have reported on MAP’s financial accountability and have listed us as a charity to consider this holiday season:
- Fast Company magazine: The work of MAP International flies under the radar because they put a most of donations directly into their good work—and not into glossy marketing materials. Founded in 1954, they provide humanitarian assistance and medicines to those in need in more than 100 countries.
- Forbes magazine: Another way to target your disaster-relief donations is by contributing to well-run charities that are all about that need. A good rule of thumb for charity efficiency: Look for one spending less than 20% of revenue on overhead costs.
- Good Housekeeping magazine: A whopping majority of their expenses go toward funding these programs, which is hugely beneficial to communities around the world.
We hope you will carefully consider a donation to MAP this Christmas season. If you have already donated, we truly thank you for your continued support of our mission of providing “Medicine for the World.”
A trusted friend of MAP is offering to match every gift given before midnight on December 31st, up to $100,000. This means your gift given this year will double and save twice as many lives.
May God bless you and your family and friends this Christmas season.
