Susan Roeder owned a CPA firm specializing in management consulting and accounting software implementations for oil and gas firms throughout the 1990’s. She spent the final thirteen years of her career with Hilcorp Energy Company, the nation’s third largest privately-held energy company, as the Manager of Acquisitions and Divestitures Accounting and as a senior management advisor and special projects coordinator for large scale acquisition transitions and multi-discipline technology projects. She retired in 2013 to pursue philanthropic endeavors.
Ms. Roeder studied art at Southwest Texas State University and accounting at Hardin-Simmons University and has been a Texas Certified Public Accountant since 1988. She travels extensively, both for pleasure and in facilitating leadership conferences and Next Generation education programs in Haiti, Ghana, India, Cambodia and other developing countries through her volunteer role as Director of ImagineNations, a global outreach of Grace Church of Humble, Texas. She is an associate board member of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is an avid art collector and artist. She is an active mentor for young couples starting their own businesses. She resides near Houston, Texas.
