Johnson & Johnson Medical Mission Pack Program
For over 125 years, Johnson & Johnson has been committed to improving the health and well-being of mothers and children around the world. With the support of its operating companies, Johnson & Johnson has brought its credo to life.
The credo, a one page document written in 1943 by Chairman General Robert Wood Johnson, outlined the Company’s responsibilities to the communities in which Johnson & Johnson employees live and work and to the world community as well. Working with key partners, Johnson & Johnson has been able to extend its outreach of programs to support and create a meaningful impact on the lives of thousands around the globe.
Johnson & Johnson recognizes that populations in the developing world can benefit greatly from Johnson & Johnson products. Working with a deeply rooted and impactful partnership, MAP International and Johnson & Johnson work to support healthcare professionals improve the lives of many through the Medical Mission Pack Program—delivering over 8,000 packs since 1997.
Any individual embarking on a medical mission trip is eligible to receive a Johnson & Johnson Medical Mission Pack.
Only Licensed Health Care Professionals (those who provide, supervise, or manage patient care or those in training for a health care profession) are eligible to receive a Medical Mission Pack Plus—in order to administer these prescription products appropriately. Eligibility will be determined based on completion and review of application forms submitted to MAP International. A signature of a physician will be required to be on file as well. This digital signature will be required at the time of your application. All licenses are verified against current databases.
As a standard practice, J&J follows the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury, in regards to the sanctions, and other international mandates, developed in close cooperation with allied governments. As such, there are some countries under sanction to which J&J may not allow our products to be sent.
These countries may include: Cuba, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, and Ukraine. Please contact MAP International if you are traveling to any of these locations. MAP is responsible for insuring compliance with the sanctions, and the J&J interpretation of those sanctions.

Customer Advisory: Johnson & Johnson will discontinue offering the Medical Mission Pack Plus at year-end 2019. This decision was made due to declining demand for the pack and in recognition that the medicines now available in their pharmaceutical product portfolio are not suitable for short term medical missions. Requests for the MMP+ will no longer be accepted after December 10, 2019.
To request prescription medication for future medical mission trips, you may consider a MAP Prescription Pack containing an assortment of prescription medicines suitable for short-term medical missions. Several options are available, including a customizable pack.
MAP Policy does not allow for transport of medicines or medical products to any U.S. embargoed country or ones subject to economic sanctions.
Medical Mission Pack Plus packs cannot be shipped to the following countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. If you are traveling to one of these countries, please contact MAP’s Customer Service Team for additional medicine/medical supply options.
The medical mission packs and the bulk of the actual handling expenses required to distribute them are contributed by Johnson & Johnson in the interest of providing better health care for medically underserved persons.
Johnson & Johnson contributes products and the majority of handling expenses required for distribution. To offset the remaining handling costs, there is a required $65 tax-deductible service fee per order, which includes shipping costs, payable directly to MAP International.
Fees resulting from the need for expedited shipping services are the responsibility of the recipient. Once final review of criteria for partnership is confirmed, your request can be shipped within two days or as necessary to meet your delivery deadline.
