On April 25, 2015 a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal and caused widespread devastation in a region with 6.6 million people. Over 8,000 people are reported dead and on Tuesday, May 12th another 7.3 magnitude earthquake has struck Nepal. Read MAP's latest news on Nepal now.

MAP International and many other NGO’s immediately responded to the critical need of the Nepalese people by providing medical aid, food, shelter and clean water.

How MAP Responded:

    • April 2015: Over $553,000 worth of essential medicines and relief supplies
    • May 2015: Over $132,000 worth of MAP Medical Mission Packs and Interagency Emergency Health Kits
    • June 2015: Over $39,000 worth of MAP Medical Mission Packs
    • July 2015: Over $98,000 worth of essential relief medicines and supplies
    • August 2015: Over $13 million worth of medical relief
    • September 2015: $11,000 worth of MAP Medical Mission Packs
    • December 2015: Over $6,000 worth of essential medicines
    • January 2016: Nearly $22,000 worth of MAP Medical Mission Packs
    • March 2016: $5,000 worth of medicines and $6,000 worth of Ethicon sutures
    • April 2016: $3 million worth of essential medicines and medical supplies
