Global Impact of 2022

At MAP International, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, no matter where they live. That’s why we’re committed to providing life-changing patient treatments to people in need around the world.

Our efforts have enabled us to provide critical medicines and health supplies to millions of people in 86 countries around the world. We’re also pleased to report that we increased our medicine delivery by $119 million from the previous year, totaling $745,372,921. Additionally, we provided $37,549,164 in disaster relief – a $24 million increase from 2021. Our mission is simple yet impactful: to provide essential medicines and health supplies to those in need so they can live life to the fullest.

In the fiscal year 2022 alone, we delivered over 16 million prenatal vitamins to 49 countries to support maternal and fetal health. We also provided over 119,000 oral rehydration salts, totaling nearly 3 million sachets, to 45 countries to help prevent dehydration. Additionally, we administered over 1.8 million deworming medications to patients in 15 countries and provided over 800,000 antibiotics to individuals in 57 countries. Through our Bringing Children Health (BCH) Program, we were able to reach over 324,000 children – an increase of over 243,000 from the previous year. By targeting our efforts where they’re needed most, we can make a real impact and improve the health and wellbeing of children around the world.

Lucas Ramirez

Lucas Ramirez is an author, pastor and keynote speaker passionate about equipping others to be change-makers and innovative leaders. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lucas immigrated to the U.S. as a child and now lives in Coastal Georgia with his wife, Thea, and their three children.

Lucas’ work has been featured in many outlets, and he has delivered keynotes nationwide to diverse audiences—including Fortune 500 leaders, students, non-profit leaders and politicians. His storytelling and practical insights have made him a sought-after speaker at events such as TEDx, Liberty University Convocation, Catalyst Conference, corporate gatherings for Kaiser Permanente and hospitality leaders through the Southern Inn Keepers of America.

He also sits on the board of KAIROS, an exciting Atlanta based startup and holds a master’s degree from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. He counts his faith in Christ and family among his greatest blessings.

Josephine Garnem

Josephine Garnem was born in Bo, Sierra Leone, where early experiences of resilience, community solidarity, and service shaped her lifelong commitment to humanitarian work. Today, she is a respected global health and development leader with more than 25 years of experience working across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and the United States.

She serves as Executive Director of the Healey International Relief Foundation, where she leads initiatives that strengthen health systems, expand maternal and child health services, and deliver life-saving support to underserved communities. Under her leadership, the Foundation has expanded strategic partnerships, mobilized significant new resources for Sierra Leone, and increased its donated medicines portfolio from $6 million to more than $58 million.

Josephine has played an important role in strengthening national health capacity in Sierra Leone, contributing to pharmaceutical donation policy development and leading capacity-building conferences for midwives and nurses in maternal and child health. She regularly convenes diaspora and international specialists to support Ministry of Health–approved training programs that strengthen local expertise.

She serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Makeni Center for Excellence in Maternal and Child Health and is Chairperson of Pax Christi USA.

Josephine holds a summa cum laude degree from the University of Maryland and has completed professional certifications through Cornell University and the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative.

Adam Wainwright

Adam Wainwright is a veteran Major League Baseball (MLB®) pitcher known for his distinguished career with the St. Louis Cardinals®. A three-time All-Star, Wainwright earned a reputation for his clutch performances, particularly in post-season play, where he played a pivotal role in the Cardinal 2006 and 2011 World Series victories.

Beyond his on-field success, Wainwright is recognized for his leadership and philanthropy. Looking toward the future, Wainwright, having signed with FOX Sports and MLB Network as a color commentator for MLB broadcasts has set his talents not only toward the game but also music. With the guidance and musical contributions of Grammy award winning producer and songwriter Gary Baker, Wainwright released his self-titled debut country record in Spring 2024 along with repeat performances at the legendary Grand Ole Opry.

Dan Clark

Dan Clark is a dynamic leader, passionate about helping people discover the difference they can make and the joy they can experience by leveraging their talent and resources to help those in need.  For more than 20 years, he has served Convoy of Hope, where he helped build a platform to engage philanthropic families who are committed to advancing the fight against poverty and hunger.  Dan is married to Heather, his wife of 26 years.  They are recent empty-nesters and loving it. 

Timika Simmons

Timika “Timi” Simmons, a proud Texan, has served as President and CEO of TOMAGWA Ministries, Inc. since 2019. A visionary leader, she is deeply committed to expanding compassionate, accessible healthcare for underserved communities. Under her leadership, after a rigorous three-year effort, TOMAGWA achieved designation as one of Texas’ newest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alikes in 2024, significantly increasing the organization’s capacity to serve patients regardless of financial circumstances.

Timika’s dedication to healthcare equity is reflected in strategic initiatives that have expanded TOMAGWA’s services to include primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, dental care, diagnostics, cancer research and prevention, and preventive health education. Her work has strengthened the organization’s reach while ensuring high-quality care rooted in Christian values.

With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration, Timika has built strong partnerships with community organizations, secured vital funding, established key legislative relationships, and developed a compassionate and highly effective team.

Under her leadership, TOMAGWA has earned Gold Standard recognition from the American Heart Association and American Medical Association and has been recognized as an A+ immunization facility through the Texas Vaccines for Children program. The organization also holds a Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid and a four-star rating from Charity Navigator.

Timika resides in Northwest Harris County, Texas, and is the proud mother of three daughters.

Brady Greene

Brady Greene has served as Executive Director of Vine International since 2016, providing strategic leadership to advance the organization’s mission and expand its impact. He and his wife, Cindy, first moved to Latin America in 2002, where they lived in Guatemala City and supported a local ministry serving teenagers facing difficult life circumstances.

During their years in Guatemala, Brady and Cindy deepened their commitment to community-based ministry while raising their four sons. Brady became affectionately known by friends as “Chepe,” a Spanish nickname he still answers to today.

In 2011, the Greene family relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee, where Brady worked in business development before joining Vine International. In addition to his professional leadership, Brady has remained deeply committed to mentoring young people and has served as a volunteer Young Life leader since 1993.

Susan Moore

Susan Moore is the Director of Partnership and Development at Food For The Poor, where she has served for nearly two decades. She joined the organization as Director of Healthcare and later advanced to Director of Recipient Services. Her portfolio eventually expanded to include leadership of Projects and Social Intervention, where she guided multidisciplinary teams across Customer Service, Social Outreach, Prison Ministry, and Housing Investigation.

In her current role, Susan provides strategic leadership for Project Development, Client Relations, Education, Health, Rehabilitation, and Programme Impact and Reporting. Through this work, she strengthens partnerships, advances program effectiveness, and expands the organization’s capacity to serve vulnerable communities.

A dedicated humanitarian, Susan has contributed more than 30 years of volunteer service to the Jamaica Red Cross, including serving as Vice President from 2019 to 2023. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to health, education, and people-centered development.

Susan began her career as a dental nurse, earning recognition for excellence in Dental Health Education and Patient Management. She later earned a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Health Promotion from The University of the West Indies, receiving the inaugural Ivy McGhie Award for Health Promotion.

She currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Lecturer in the Master of Public Health programme at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.
