MAP International Welcomes New COO/CIO

Brunswick, GA, September 1, 2025 – MAP International, one of the largest charities in the nation, which supplies over $1 billion in donated medication and healthcare supplies domestically and across the globe, is celebrating the addition of Justin Ward as Chief Operations and Information Officer (COO/CIO). Ward is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, supply chain logistics and cloud platforms.

MAP International’s President and CEO, Chris Palombo, stated, “I am thrilled that Justin Ward is joining the MAP team. I can attest to his commitment to excellence, his strategic foresight, and his dedication. Justin’s contributions had a profound and positive impact on the charitable distribution industry, and I am excited to see how his valuable expertise will help advance MAP’s mission.”

Ward earned his Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University and his Master of Science in Data Analytics from Western Governor’s University. He has extensive experience in developing and implementing data strategies, facilitating data-driven decision-making in complex environments, and effectively managing healthcare data.

As COO/CIO of MAP International, Ward will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization, as well as the information technology strategy and infrastructure. In his most recent role, he oversaw end-to-end operations and cloud infrastructure for a nationwide humanitarian-aid organization. Ward led a team that modernized warehouse and transportation logistics by implementing cloud-based inventory systems and predictive analytics to ensure critical medicine was delivered accurately and on time. Ward engineered a tailored compliance solution for the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) that enhanced regulatory efficiency while achieving substantial reductions in operational and software expenditures.

While Ward’s professional experience and successful track record highly qualify him for this position at MAP, his commitment to delivering vital resources to those who otherwise would not have access aligns perfectly with MAP’s mission.

“I am honored to join the team at MAP International,” says Ward. “I have a passion – and a skill set – for connecting surplus resources with those who need them most, and I look forward to putting my experience to work on a global scale with MAP.”
