Called to Serve. Prepared to Learn.

MAP Healthcare Fellowship Program

The MAP Healthcare Fellowship is designed for emerging healthcare professionals who are passionate about serving others through global health. Whether pursuing a career in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, allied health, or therapy services, Fellows share a common commitment to learning, serving, and making a meaningful impact in communities around the world.

Anthony Alerre, 2026 MAP Fellow, South Sudan & Uganda

Successful applicants demonstrate a heart for global health, a desire to grow through immersive service experiences, and a willingness to contribute their skills where healthcare access is limited. Fellowship placements provide opportunities to serve alongside healthcare providers and organizations working to bring hope, healing, and dignity to those in need.

Beyond the clinical experience, the placement deepened my understanding of ethical global health work, cultural humility, and the importance of listening to and collaborating with local teams rather than imposing outside solutions.
