Global Impact of 2022

At MAP International, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, no matter where they live. That’s why we’re committed to providing life-changing patient treatments to people in need around the world.

Our efforts have enabled us to provide critical medicines and health supplies to millions of people in 86 countries around the world. We’re also pleased to report that we increased our medicine delivery by $119 million from the previous year, totaling $745,372,921. Additionally, we provided $37,549,164 in disaster relief – a $24 million increase from 2021. Our mission is simple yet impactful: to provide essential medicines and health supplies to those in need so they can live life to the fullest.

In the fiscal year 2022 alone, we delivered over 16 million prenatal vitamins to 49 countries to support maternal and fetal health. We also provided over 119,000 oral rehydration salts, totaling nearly 3 million sachets, to 45 countries to help prevent dehydration. Additionally, we administered over 1.8 million deworming medications to patients in 15 countries and provided over 800,000 antibiotics to individuals in 57 countries. Through our Bringing Children Health (BCH) Program, we were able to reach over 324,000 children – an increase of over 243,000 from the previous year. By targeting our efforts where they’re needed most, we can make a real impact and improve the health and wellbeing of children around the world.

Nasi’s mother was worried. The baby, barely two months old, was not sleeping or eating. When her mother noticed a growing lump on the back of the baby’s neck, she did the only thing she could do: take Nasi to a traditional healer in her rural Zambian village and pray for the best. But the child got worse and the lump grew bigger. Nasi’s mother despaired for her daughter’s life and prayed for a miracle. Those prayers were answered at a local clinic, where doctors diagnosed the lump as an abscess.

Thanks to God’s grace and MAP supporters, the clinic was equipped with MAP medicine and Nasi received lifesaving pediatric antibiotics. Your gift now can help save more children.

Your matching gift can mean mothers like Maria can better care for their families!

For Maria, simply breathing was becoming increasingly difficult. A single parent in rural El Salvador, she experienced constant shortness of breath, caused by the long hours of cooking over a wood-burning fire to feed her family and eke out a meager living. A medical mission team diagnosed Maria with asthma. Thankfully, the team was equipped with MAP provided asthma medications, including an albuterol inhaler, which was given to Maria free of charge.

Chronic diseases — like Maria’s asthma — are some of the leading causes of death and disability in the world. Many of these are diseases that are easily treated with a few dollars’ worth of medicine. Your gift now can help get more lifesaving medicine to people like Maria!
