Global Impact of 2022

At MAP International, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, no matter where they live. That’s why we’re committed to providing life-changing patient treatments to people in need around the world.

Our efforts have enabled us to provide critical medicines and health supplies to millions of people in 86 countries around the world. We’re also pleased to report that we increased our medicine delivery by $119 million from the previous year, totaling $745,372,921. Additionally, we provided $37,549,164 in disaster relief – a $24 million increase from 2021. Our mission is simple yet impactful: to provide essential medicines and health supplies to those in need so they can live life to the fullest.

In the fiscal year 2022 alone, we delivered over 16 million prenatal vitamins to 49 countries to support maternal and fetal health. We also provided over 119,000 oral rehydration salts, totaling nearly 3 million sachets, to 45 countries to help prevent dehydration. Additionally, we administered over 1.8 million deworming medications to patients in 15 countries and provided over 800,000 antibiotics to individuals in 57 countries. Through our Bringing Children Health (BCH) Program, we were able to reach over 324,000 children – an increase of over 243,000 from the previous year. By targeting our efforts where they’re needed most, we can make a real impact and improve the health and wellbeing of children around the world.

Programs

Targeting Medicine, Health Supplies, and Medical Devices to Transform and Save Lives

For more than 70 years, MAP has delivered medicine, health supplies, and medical devices to people living in the world’s most vulnerable places. From war zones to remote villages, from hurricanes in the U.S. to droughts in Africa, our mission has remained constant: to provide lifesaving medicine to all people, regardless of where they live or what they can afford.

Chronic Disease Treatment

For people living with chronic illnesses – like asthma, hypertension, and diabetes – MAP provides consistent and reliable access to the medicine they need to properly treat and manage their health conditions.

Acute Care Medicines

Addressing acute health needs like allergies,
fever, or pain, MAP provides access to essential over-the- counter medications like antihistamines and pain relievers/fever reducers.

Malnutrition Intervention

Combating hunger and strengthening health, MAP’s Malnutrition Program provides lifesaving relief through micronutrients, prenatal vitamins, oral rehydration salts (ORS), deworming treatments, and fortified food products.

Women’s Health

MAP supports women all over the world by providing expecting mothers with prenatal vitamins, restoring wholeness and dignity through fistula repair surgeries, and providing access to feminine hygiene products and contraceptive health.

Pediatric Care

MAP invests in the future generation by championing children’s health, supporting health and wellbeing through children’s multivitamins, pediatric doses of common medications, and lifesaving pediatric antibiotics.

Surgical Essentials

MAP provides access to safe surgical care by delivering anesthesia medicine, personal protective equipment (PPE), and high-quality sutures to mission hospitals and surgical mission teams worldwide.

Ear, Nose, and Throat Treatments

Supporting health and wellbeing, MAP provides relief from respiratory illness symptoms through nasal sprays, eye drops, and cough suppressants.

Infectious Disease Interventions

To prevent the impact and spread of infectious diseases, MAP distributes lifesaving antibiotics, as well as antiviral, deworming, and antifungal medications.

Personal Wellness

With simple hygiene items like soap, shampoo, and deodorant, MAP restores personal dignity and protects individual health.

Mental Health

In a holistic approach to wellness, MAP supports mental health by providing medicine to treat conditions like depression, anxiety, epilepsy, and dementia.

Cancer Care

MAP supports initiatives worldwide that provide cancer screenings, preventative care, and access to cancer treatment.

Vision and Eye Care

Restoring sight and independence to those suffering with vision impairment and blindness, MAP provides glaucoma medicine, antibiotic eye drops, eyeglasses, and intraocular lenses for cataract surgeries.
