At MAP International, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, no matter where they live. That’s why we’re committed to providing life-changing patient treatments to people in need around the world.

Our efforts have enabled us to provide critical medicines and health supplies to millions of people in 86 countries around the world. We’re also pleased to report that we increased our medicine delivery by $119 million from the previous year, totaling $745,372,921. Additionally, we provided $37,549,164 in disaster relief – a $24 million increase from 2021. Our mission is simple yet impactful: to provide essential medicines and health supplies to those in need so they can live life to the fullest.

In the fiscal year 2022 alone, we delivered over 16 million prenatal vitamins to 49 countries to support maternal and fetal health. We also provided over 119,000 oral rehydration salts, totaling nearly 3 million sachets, to 45 countries to help prevent dehydration. Additionally, we administered over 1.8 million deworming medications to patients in 15 countries and provided over 800,000 antibiotics to individuals in 57 countries. Through our Bringing Children Health (BCH) Program, we were able to reach over 324,000 children – an increase of over 243,000 from the previous year. By targeting our efforts where they’re needed most, we can make a real impact and improve the health and wellbeing of children around the world.

How do I sign up to volunteer?

It’s easy! Click below to sign up as an individual or community organization.

Is there an age requirement to volunteer?

No. Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Some of our youngest volunteers are elementary school students serving alongside a parent or guardian, while our oldest volunteer is an incredible 92 years young.

If you can follow simple instructions, enjoy working with others, and have a heart for helping people around the world, you’ll fit right in.

Please note: Volunteers under the age of 17 must have parental consent, and a parent or legal guardian must remain with them throughout the volunteer session.

What will I be doing?

Volunteers serve in a variety of meaningful roles depending on the project. Opportunities may include assembling Disaster Health Kits or medicine packs, sorting and packing supplies, restocking workstations, preparing completed shipments, welcoming guests, assisting at the front desk, and supporting light administrative tasks. Every role plays an important part in helping deliver hope and health to people in need around the world.

Can I bring other people to volunteer?

Yes! When filling out the sign-up form, please register as a group rather than an individual, and a MAP team member will contact you with more information.

How long do volunteer shifts last?

Most volunteer opportunities last approximately 2–3 hours, making it easy to fit service into your schedule. Occasionally, during an active emergency response, extended volunteer sessions may be available to help meet urgent needs. These opportunities will be communicated in advance for those who are able to serve longer.

When can I volunteer?

We’d love to have you join us! We host Disaster Health Kit (DHK) packing events at our distribution center in Brunswick, Georgia, on a regular basis. Simply complete our volunteer sign-up form, and a member of the MAP team will reach out with upcoming volunteer opportunities and help you find a date that works for your schedule.

What should I wear?

Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, including stretching, bending, lifting, and kneeling safely. We also ask that clothing be respectful and appropriate for a family-friendly environment. Please avoid apparel with offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate language or graphics.

What are the MAP Headquarters and Distribution Center rules?

A brief orientation will be provided at the beginning of your volunteer session to ensure everyone is prepared for a safe and successful experience. While we’ll cover everything you need to know that day, we ask all volunteers to keep three simple principles in mind: put safety first, follow instructions, and communicate openly with your team. By working together, we can create an enjoyable experience while helping deliver hope and health to those who need it most.

How do I volunteer with a group?

We love welcoming groups! Whether you’re coming with your family, church, school, business, or community organization, simply indicate your estimated group size on the volunteer sign-up form. A member of the MAP team will contact you to help coordinate your visit and find a date that works best for your group.

What happens if I’m late to my volunteer shift?

If you are running late, call the MAP staff member that has been communicating with you about your volunteer event. They will help you determine if adjustments can be made to accommodate you, or if you will need to reschedule your volunteer shift to help with another packing event.
